Stanislav Libenský is considered the most outstanding Czech glasswork artist and pedagogue. His works created in collaboration with Jaroslava Brychtová are presented in museums and galleries worldwide. Besides his career, he taught at the Academy of Arts, Architecture, and Design in Prague. He was a director and pedagogue at the School of Applied Arts for Glassmaking in Železný Brod, where he lived and worked for most of his life.

The competition serves as an international presentation of young glass artists and helps develop glass art in the young scene and compare different approaches and methods.

The initiator and main organizer – the Prague Gallery of Czech Glass – hopes that this competition, followed by a long-term exhibition, will help young artists enter the business world and explore the potential of glass.

Past iterations of the exhibition featured many excellent works by 577 artists from around 42 countries and 76 universities.

Young artists need support.
Help them grow & shape the future
so we can admire their creativity together.

How will your donation be used?
Your donation will be used strictly for the support and promotion of young glass artists.
We help them promote themselves through Stanislav Libenský Award. And we help them sell their artworks to receive funds for future career development.

Impact of your donation:
Your donation will help keep our non-profit organization sustainable and fulfill our main goal: to support young glass artists worldwide. More than 480 artists have been part of exhibitions in the past, and 14 of them got free tuition for summer glass school in Pilchuck, USA, already. With your donation, we can continue.

Help young glass artists grow now.

Thank you very much for being so supportive.
